Ladies day out

As this is going to be my first blog, I decided to write about a trip that will make me laugh whenever I think of it. Hope that will make everybody who reads this laugh. All the credit goes to my friends Meenal and sriramya. Keep reading.

I did my graduation in a reputed institute which is located in a lovely place called coimbatore. It is, of course, a cosmo-politan city in Tamilnadu but with its own values and cultures. less westernized, less polluted, less populated and a great weather too. You can find lot of places to roam around with your friends. But our friends, been lazy potatoes, spent most of the weekends chit chating, watching movies, reading books, cleaning and doing a bit of assignments.

It was on a lazy friday evening in our final year, we decided to see few good places in coimbatore before we finish our graduation. We planned to visit a ganapathy temple in Echanari, which is about an hour from our place. we got ready in the morning. Since it was very sunny that day, we got umbrellas from our friends and started our trip.

A bus arrived at our stop, already fully packed. As every other bus will be packed like this, we didn't have much option except to board it. I got in first. Meenal followed me. As soon as she stepped in, she stamped a lady's feet. A good start. Guess you could imagine what would have happened next. She really got wild and started shouting in her own coimbatore village accent. hahaha. Who will not go wild when somebody with a heavy wooden high heels stamps you in a already packed bus. If it was me, I would have torn her into pieces. As it was we who stamped, Me and Meenal pretended as if we didn't hear her and moved forward to make ourselves accommodate in that fully loaded bus. I ended up standing in front of a stout lady who was sitting on the bus engine and meenal stood right behind me. We placed the umbrellas on the bus engine. Unfortunately, Sriramya had no place to move. she stood near that lady hearing all the curses. After some time, she lost her tolerance and she started fighting back with that lady, with all her chennai accent. Me and Meenal, just couldn't stop laughing looking at Sriramya with her hi-fi looks fighting with a village lady, that too for meenal's mistake. We never knew she had such a talent until then. Though they both were fighting, all the eyes in the bus were on us. Yes, we were laughing loud enough to wake anybody who was sleeping in the bus.

When the first fight was about to settle down, the bus conductor came asking us to buy the tickets. Our super comical meenal, again did a performance there. She took her purse out from her handbag leaving both the hands from the grip. That was when the driver stamped the break. How lovely. She, with all her belongings fell on me happily, laughing again. Before I try something to stop myself from falling, I was already there, in the lap of that stout lady. "What on earth are you people?". Yes it was her turn to shout at us. Hey it was in English this time. She sounded like an insulted English teacher. As she went on shouting, her temper kept raising. Only then we realized, we were still on her and laughing hard that we couldn't even get up. Every time, we tried controlling our laugh, we did burst out with more noise. After about half an hour of struggle, we calmed down. She looked very angry and kept staring at us. We too looked her back the same way, feeling so proud of staring back boldly.

Atlast, we reached Echanari. We got down still staring at those two ladies. We gave a sigh of relief and exchanged comments and laughs. We started walking, as we had to walk around a km to reach the temple. It was damn hot by the time we reached and when we searched for the umbrellas, we found we missed them in the bus itself right next to that stout lady. Ha ha ha. We started laughing again, talking how much keen we were on staring at that lady and how we forgot to get those umbrellas.

We reached the temple and took some snaps for memories. We returned back buying new umbrellas. It was a great fun trip. I still catch myself rolling and laughing whenever I think of this trip. Miss them both and those days too.
